TANGÜIS
This cotton grows in the irrigated valleys of the central and southern coast of Peru.
It is characterized by its long fiber, resistance to diseases and parasites, and good adaptation to most of the valleys of the southern and central areas of the Coast.
According to the international classification, Tangüis cotton belongs to the group of long fiber cottons, together with Lambard cotton from Sudan, Giza 47 and 67 from Egypt and El Paso and Akala from the United States.
