TANGÜIS

This cotton grows in the irrigated valleys of the central and southern coast of Peru.
It is characterized by its long fiber, resistance to diseases and parasites, and good adaptation to most of the valleys of the southern and central areas of the Coast.
According to the international classification, Tangüis cotton belongs to the group of long fiber cottons, together with Lambard cotton from Sudan, Giza 47 and 67 from Egypt and El Paso and Akala from the United States.

PIMA

The Cotton Pima (gossypium barbadense), is originally from Peru. The excellent natural conditions of the cultivated fields in northern Peru and the hand-harvested system prevent fiber damage and make it the best cotton in the world.
Its main properties are: Fiber Length, Resistance, Texture-smoothness, Brightness.

DEL CERRO

This new cotton lineage is adapted to the different agroecological conditions of the Lambayecan valleys of Chancay, La Leche, Zaña, Motupe and Olmos; and shows tolerance and high recovery power to stress factors such as drought, salinity, humidity and rice soils.

The INIA 803 Vista Florida cotton is the result of more than seven years of exhaustive work by the researchers of the National Program of Agricultural Innovation in Agroindustrial Crops of the “Vista Florida” Agricultural Experimental Station of the INIA in Chiclayo.
Extra-long fiber crop, early cycle and high productivity, with yields of 80 quintals per hectare.

IPA 59

The Pima-IPA-59 variety, distinguished by its characteristics of precocity, habit of more determined growth, high productivity of cotton branch and cotton fiber and high technological quality of the fiber with similar qualities to the Pima American varieties (Length: 35 mm, Resistance: 40 g / tex, Micronaire: 3.8 to 4.1).

This variety has also shown high tolerance to: Soils with salt problems, to the attack of certain pests of the capsule and the leaf and it resists prolonged periods of drought.
